Reason for word difference

Hi, English is my second language. I am facing lot of problem when writing. I have two question.

1. In 'Comparison, why we do not have 'sion' (Comparision) instead of 'son'? When other words sounds like 'sion' at the end.

2. I am planning to learn English grammar in correct order. While searching, I have been getting lot of suggestion from different websites. I do not what is the right order to follow, please suggest the right order. I.e., When to learn verb and when to learn adverb.

Pardon me if I did not form sentences correctly. Thank you!
