realms or realm phrase

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong thread!

Could some tell me which phrase is correct?

"It is not beyond the REALM of possibility"

"It is not beyond the REALMS of possibility"

Thanks

"Realm" (singular) sound more natural to me, and Google gives that one about half a million hits, versus about 70K for "realms."

Interesting.

Over here in the UK I think we only use 'realms' - could be another US/Brit difference?

Perhaps, but I wouldn't be suprised to hear "realms" - "realm" sounds more natural, but the other doesn't sound wrong.

Of course, I read books from both sides of the pond, and sometimes I forget which is which. I haven't spelled grey right for ages.

I guess that "realms" is also okay. When you say realms, you talk of multiple domains. Here, we are using the word possibility which means that we can venture into multiple domains.
