Which is correct and why?
That is a really scary movie. or That is a real scary movie.

The 1st is correct. Real is non-standard in this context, IMO. The only way the 2nd sentence would be standard would be with a comma: That is a real, scary movie.

Real is non-standard in this context, IMO.

The only way the 2nd sentence would be standard would be with a comma:

That is a real, scary movie.
