1-You really are not a socialist, are you? 2-You are not really a socialist, are you?
Is there a difference in the meanings of the above sentences? It seems to me that the first one implies that the speaker believes that the addressee is far from being a socialist while the second one implies that the speaker believes that the addressee is not quite a socialist.
