Hello!
Could you help me, please?
Can we use the verb "realize" in the following situation:
- I can't stay here anymore. I have to go.
- Ok, I realize.
I mean, can we use these verbs equally: I understand = I see = I got it = I realize? For me "realize" sounds a bit awkward.
Thank you!
Maria D Can we use the verb "realize" in the following situation: It is possible, but intransitive "realize" is a nonce use there and sounds pretty wrong. " "Realize" is transitive. " "Got it" (no "I") is possible as a casual form of "I have got it", which is itself non-standard US English for "I have gotten it", but of those three only "got it" means "I understand", oddly enough.
