Hi everyone, I have a paragraph from a contract as follows:
The parties agree that sponsor shall not be responsible for claims or liability for personal injury or damage to property, real or personal, directly or indirectly, arising from the negligent or wrongful acts of investigator or any of their respective officers.
My question is: how to understand the underlined phrase above "real and personal", does it mean the real estate and personal belongings? If not, then what?
Thank you very much!

The legal definition of real property is land, and anything growing on, affixed to, or built upon land. This also includes man-made buildings as well as crops. Real property is best characterized as property that doesn’t move, or that is attached to the land.
