Readout/read out

Hi there!

In a scientific article, it says the following: "A calorimeter readout by XXX with high density for YYY" and "...tiles are readout by means of fibers".

Do we write "readout" or "read out"? Maybe, there's a scientific slang, like "readout" for a verb?
