Reading difficulty

[She had not slept until seven in years and was finding it quite agreeable]

This is from the novel 'Gray Mountain' and I am not sure what it meant. Does that mean that she didn't sleep untill seven or mean that she slept but woke before seven?

Top answer

For years she had always woken up / got up before seven. e. she did sleep until or beyond seven.

For years she had always woken up / got up before seven. I assume it means that this particular day was an exception, i.e. she did sleep until or beyond seven.
