reading and modern writing

When I'm moping around with nothing to do I like to pick up a novel and spend half a day just reading away and enjoying the amazing work and creativity of some of these contemporary authors in our day. One of my fav is Dean Koontz, his stories are fun and thrilling and keeps me entertained and wanting to know what will happen next. It's also a good way to exercise the brain and to learn more about the different literary styles that exist in modern writing.

of our time

OR

in our time

AND NOT

of our day

"Of our day" is fine.
