Reading A.C and B.C

A.C and B.C are used while telling the date of an ancient event. I want to know how the native speakers read it.
561 A.C?
561 ante christum?
561 after christ?
Thanks

Where have you seen 'AC' used? That would seem to me to be a very confusing abbreviation, as it can stand for ante Christum (before Christ) or anno Christi (in the year of Christ) / after Christ. For those who reject the specifically Christian reference of 'BC ' (before Christ) and 'AD', anno Domini (in the year of the Lord), two other abbreviations are increasingly appearing: 'BCE', before the common era , and 'CE', the common era.

The war fought in the year 1857 A.C.
You mean to say we will read the date above as 1857 anno christi?
And "in the year 571 BC" as "in the year 571 before christ?"

Did you read what I wrote? Only context will tell whether that means ante Christum (before Christ) or anno Christi (in the year of Christ) / after Christ..
