Are the following correct?

Is it correct to say « written into the law »?


Following extensive trialling in a number of major competitions, VAR was first written into the Laws of the Gameby the International Football Association Board.



Is it correct to say « so simple as »? Aren’t you supposed to use so xx as in a negation only?

This is because targeting criteria are often fluid – and it is rarely so simple as telling a machine to target “anyone with a gun”
