hi Clive
Sorry for the questions
When should that be used? There are worse things it can be.

Is this a context?
There are worse things it can be. It can be worse sickness. It's not necessarily the flu she has. I know it is not comforting but you have to be prepared for the worse. prepare yourself for the worse.

Hi,

The common phrase is 'It could be worse' or 'Things could be worse'.
The general meaning is that something is not good, but at least it is not one of the possibilities that are worse.
Be glad that it is not worse.
