Re-writing Looking for the summer by Chris Rea

Here's my effort to put a new meaning into the song. As I'm not a native English speaker, I would like to ask someone to help find some possible grammatical/semantic errors in the text. Also, if some words look out of place, please point them out. Thanks in advance!

Look closely into Nature's face.
A change is clearly taking place.
She's ready for the winter.

The eyes take on a haunted gaze
And leave behind those summer days.
She's ready for the winter.

This ain't no game of kiss and tell
The implications how you knew so well.
Are you ready for the winter?

But seasons change. And someone new
Will play the passion out that we once knew.
Now we're ready for the winter.

Remember love how it was the same?
We scratched and hurt each other's growing pains.
Now we're ready for the winter.

And still I stand this very day
With a subtle wish to fly away.
Yes I'm ready. Ready for the winter.
