Dear Sir or Madam,

Having a flair for Economics, I wish to apply for a BA programme in Economics and Business in September 2006. I have graduated with BA degree in English Translation from Ghaemshahr University in Jul 2004. My career objective is to work in financial sector of International companies.

I have always endeavoured to do my best and learn as much as possible. In 2000 after my graduation from high school, I was accepted by BA Programme in English Translation at Ghaemshahr University in Iran . I successfully obtained high marks in most of the courses with an overall GPA of 15.62.

In 2000, I worked as an English teacher for an English Language Institute when I was freshman. Woking as a teacher helped me to improve my English and experience psychological aspects of teaching and communicating with students. After graduating university I worked in a company as a commercial specialist. My duties included managing imports, contacting suppliers, administration and financial responsibilities. I learned to interact with different people and different personalities. Furthermore I was able to learn creative organizational skills by handling unexpected events and challenges. After working some months for this company I had to change the city that I lived, so I proffered to work in the same positions which I worked before as an English teacher and later as a commercial specialist because I had sufficient experiences and could manage it well.

My father has studied Economy. My interest about Economy was initialled by an illuminating experience of being enlightened his understanding of Economics in accordance with the experiment of his career: Economy is about managing the financial systems. In reality, Economy encompasses many more activities than that and depends on a wealth of formal concepts, processes and models not implied by sound bites just mentioned. Since then, a determination to discover the true meaning of Economy has been leading my career way towards Business and commercial world.

By learning Economics and business, I will be better positioned to help companies on various aspects of the issue that so many organizations are facing, and try to generate solutions to complex problems.

Through hard work and dedication I have grown immensely during the four years of the university and my work experiences. I have always been a very determined and studious individual, hence why I knew that a degree at your university would be the definite next step.

I want to compliment my education with studying in Economy and Business. I wish to develop my existing knowledge and understanding of Economy in theory and moreover channel my professional skills into practice.
