I remember swimming in the sea for the first time when I went to the beach for holiday in 1990. By ten years old, I was a very good swimmer in the countryside and I could cross a small lake without wearing any body jacket(swim jacket?). It could have been very dangerous though I wasn't aware of it. But when I started swimming in the sea, I discovered/knew that swimming in the sea was very different from swimming in the lake. The conditions are poles apart. I almost died drowning on that first go.
Mbouti, I assumed that you were talking about your recollection of your trip to the beach throughout.
