I really didn't know where to post this. I hope you don't mind if I posit this here.
Is the phrase "one single" grammatically correct? e.g. "All I need is one single glass of water." It just seems redundant to me and it does annoy me enough to seek help.

As you say you don't need it a would do instead although it might be used to stress that your request is so small and therefore not too difficult for the listener.
