Rather than

1. Patients need a care that encourages and helps them to get back to the society again as healthy human beings rather than isolating them from the society.

2. Patients need a care that encourages and helps them to get back to the society again as healthy human beings rather than a care that isolates them from the society.

First, I want to ask if the first one is grammatically sound.

Second, do I need to repreat "care" like I did in the second sentence or is the first sentence OK as it is?

Thank you.
