Rate my language skills and the perception after reading my post

I am so happy to see that in fact, the majority of people who have given their thoughts on this issue had decided to give the couple who asked for help on this site, the benefit of the doubt, rather than castigate individuals who dare mention they might be willing to leave their pets behind

This is very well written (perfectly written in fact - I cannot find a single flaw in it) and of a very complex structure - a native English speaker would have great difficulty putting together a sentence like this - and would seem to indicate very advanced language skills.

"So" as an intensive is non-standard and of a different register than "castigate". "In fact" seems unnecessary, but if it must be there, it needs commas around it—the other commas are wrong. The tense of "had decided" is mystifying. There is no period at the end. I give you a B minus—somewhat rambling, a little self-conscious, but clear enough with no major errors of usage or idiom.
