Are the following correct?

"A wide range of topics HAS been researched using ethnographic methods" (Is there a case for 'have'?)

"A variety of products IS on offer"

"A number of people ARE going"

I just want to offer some advisory cautioins to leanrers. Things are not always what they appear to be. When we use collective nouns, don't be too quick to fall into the automatic mode because something appears to be either plural or singular. Following is a list of comparisons on collective nouns. Although the noun may be in plural form, it does not mean an amtomatic plural verb. S
