range V vary

It appears that both range and vary can mean "change", but they fit in different structure as shown below:

range between A and B, vary from A to A.

yes, you see the problem. for range, there are two things for sth to range between. e.g.: the temperature ranges from 60 to 90 degree.

yet, for vary, the words following from and to are the same. e.g. the temperature varies from day to day/ from place to place.

i wonder whether "vary" can be used in the way "sth varies from A to B" as in the case of range.
