Range from A to B VS vary from A to B

0 I looked up the two in the dictionary but still cannot tell where the differences therebetween lie. For example, I feel one can say both the following, but i cannot figure out how they are different: 02br

0 To my ear, the focus in VARY is on change, alteration. How or how much something will change depends on the circumstances, on certain conditions, on the distribution of the thing etc. Customs can vary from region to region, clothes can vary in colour and size.
