Rainier of more rainy

Hi teachers~

Sorry to ask this question.

I know rainier is correct but I wonder if more rainy is acceptable.

I looked it up and found some websites saying 'more rainy' is ok.

Some people said there are some dictionaries saying both are right but I haven't found it.

Do you sometimes hear 'more rainy'?
