RAGGED AROUND THE EDGES

Hello friends,
I don't understand the exactly meaning of this expression here:

'After the first or second song, if you weren't commercial enough, too raw or RAGGED AROUND THE EDGES, he might conspicuously stand up, make a fuss and walk out on you.'

Someone to help me?
Many thanks in advance, Jo.

Hi, It's a fairly general kind of comment. It means something like you are 'unsophisticated', 'unrefined', maybe even 'unorganized'. Best wishes, Clive
