"to help " + verb

Why the verb after the word "help" doesn't have suffix "-ing" , i came across this in lot of articles..

examples:

"To help create the opportunity .."
"To help make it .."

why it isn't "to help creating .."
"to help making..."

Are these correct??
The "help" itself is a verb, why is there another verb following this verb without -ing...
