Which is correct?

1) I authored a 30-minute pilot for "The Best Damn Sports Show Period," which will air March 18, 2006.

OR

Hi, I'd put the comma after the quotation marks, as it's clearly not part of the title. 'To author' is sometimes used as a verb today, but some people consider this to be ugly English. You could just say 'I wrote .
