"the same" "similar"

please can you tell me the diffrence between the same and similar? can these both be used instead of eachother? i need your answers urgently.

Same means that two or more things match exactly (or as near as makes no difference). Similar means that they have a lot in common but are not an exact match. I would look the same as my identical twin, but I look similar to my brothers.

for ex: your bag isn't the same colour as mine, is it?

Can we use here "similar/to"?

or

My bag hasn't got a similar colour to that of yours.

Can we use here the "same/as" ?
