"the sag has arighted itself in the attic"

I will review the post in the morning when the sag has arighted itself in the attic.
I have no idea what the bold part is saying. Could you explain it?

Not a clue. Can you give more context ? Is it likely it's meant literally - the attic floor of a building and a sag (an area of the floor that is lower than the rest) - or metaphorically?

  • Sometimes we refer to our brains as "upstairs" (Not much going on upstairs = not very smart) but I don't know that I've heard it referred to as an attic.

Perhaps the roof of the attic was sagging ... and he waited for that to get back in proper shape (not sure how).

Strange, anyway, without context.

Is it possible for the sag in the roof to take a proper shape by itself? there is seemingly a contextual incongruity between the two parts of the sentence.

I can only imagine a metaphorical interpretation: I will review the post in the morning when my brain is working properly.

But as Barbara says, it's not a standard expression.

Thanks everyone, now that I've read your posts I think "attic" here means "my brain."
