"that" with "when"

0Parents should have their children practice how they would yell and scream if someone tried to abduct them. It’s good training for the kids, and they’ll love it. 0I personally think it would be ok... but you should/could also use an IF construct instead. Actually if I think twice the best choice would be "unless", this would be the most appropriate alternative according to this sentence but I'm not a native speaker so it is my personal opinion.
