Intelligent FreakJessica is prettier than me. (informal)
Jessica is prettier than I am. (formal)
Which is correct?
KooyeenHi,
both are ok and mean the same. I think the first would be more common, there's no need to say "I am" in such a simple sentence.
I also don't see much difference in terms of register (I think neither is restricted to formal or informal usage, generally speaking).

KooyeenI don't see "Jessica is prettier than me" as incorrect for formal usage.Your definition of formal must differ significantly from mine.
