"shelter" "harbour"

My question is about comparison:/figure:

Can I compare "home" to "shelter" or "harbour" ,which is better ,or what else?

eg:

Home is the port of shelter from storm.

Home is a shelter against storm.

does that sound good?or any better one?

Hi, Home is a port of shelter from the storm. Home is a shelter from the storm. They both sound fine.

  • Hi, Home is a port of shelter from the storm.
  • Home is a shelter from the storm.
  • They both sound fine.
  • The first is rather more poetic in style.
  • I've made some small corrections.

Hi,

Home is a shelter from the storm.

They both sound fine. The first is rather more poetic in style. I've made some small corrections.

You might also say, for example, a 'refuge'.

Best wishes, Clive
