"SAP" ... Hello techno wizards.......

hi friends,
It,s great to have an ESP for IT people.To start with I wan't to know, What is SAP?It's applications and job opportunities etc.,I am only a beginner to this field.So any of your new ideas or suggestions would benefit me.Hope I would also be useful sometimes.

hi Ayesha Is it necessary to know any thing about the programming languages to enter for a job under SAP? If so, is it mandatory?

The technical skill is not compulsory if you are going to work as a functional consultant.
3-4 years of business experience and specialization in Accounting, Procurement,Marketing etc., is sufficient.But a TECHNICAL consultant should have programming knowledge about SAP.A lot of certitificate as well as long term courses are also available now.
