"Our" or just nothing

"I was actively participating in ** meetings where all befrienders were sharing (our) experience and discussing each of our befriendees"

Top answer

Not 'our' but 'their' in both positions ('their experiences' and 'their befriendees'). 'Befrienders' is the referent, and is 3rd person plural. The first 'their' is indeed optional.

Yes, but I was a befriender as well, who was sharing my experience and advice as well, so isn't it "our" experience then?

No-- we're talking of grammar. If you want to use 'our', then you'll have to recast as something like 'My fellow befrienders and I met...', etc.

PS: or 'we befrienders...'
