Sorry, I'm not sure if this is the right forum.

If someone was to say; "That singer is original" what does this mean?

maybe that the singer is very different from other singers because he/she has a way to sing very new and unusual! my 2 cents... cheers

All good adjectives, but I wouldn't say you could use each of them in the sentence

'That singer is . . . '

"That singer is original"

This statement is based on how broad the person's knowledge of all other singers is. It means, "this singer is unlike any other."

When I first heard Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity", I immediately thought of Stevie Wonder. There's also a New York-based band named Urban Sun (I'm not sure if they're still together), and their singer also reminds me of Steve

No I just added what original could mean in general, I gave my choice before that for this particular occasion.

Additionally, the phrase "X is original" can mean "there is something striking about X".
