Speech & Pronunciation

"of fate" -> "ov fate"

Hi,

I have always had difficulties pronounce the words 'of' and 'f-' words. E.g. 'of fate' and 'of futher'. I know that the word 'of' is pronounced as 'ov'; however since words starting with 'f' say 'fate' is not pronounced like the 'v' sound of the word 'of', how do you exactly say the two words together?

Thank you.

Best wishes,

PBF

You can eliminate the "v" sound and simply say "o fate." You don't have to pronounce every single sound; you will usually drop some.
