To me, "it's a line" means "it's a string of words that's often used" Ex: "a catch-line", in adverts etc... I don't see anything sexual in the expression.

"Line" can refer to an expression that is intended to persuade or mislead someone. A "line of ****" or "line of bullshit" (this might be U.S. usage) refers to intentional deception. A "pickup line" is an expression used to introduce oneself to an attractive stranger, often for the purpose of prospective dating or ***. Many pickup lines have become cliches, such as:

Hi,

It is a line. As with all English, context is important. In a male/female context, this can indeed be ***-related (as can almost everything!)

Scenario two:

No - it is not a line as in a fishing line, or a string or rope.

It's a line of words, as in a dramma or a movie script, i.e. a refined / sophisticated / sometimes overused / catchy / interesting sentence used to break the ice or to gain affection.

Hi,

No - it is not a line as in a fishing line,

Well, actually, it is a fishing line, in a figurative sense. I thought Pieanne was making a clever little joke when she said 'Oh, it's a fishing line'.
