"I thought I would become" or "I thought I would have become"

0 Hi everyone, 02br
02br
00I've recently come across a sentence that I can't quite decide how to word it. Any response would be greatly appreciated. 02br
00If a person wants to express his belief as a child to become something but did not in the end, should the person say: 02br
00(1) "I thought I would become a singer, but..."(in the end he did not become a singer) 02br
00(2) "I thought I would have become a singer, but..." 02br
00(3) "I had thought I would become a singer, but..." 02br
00(4) "I had thought I would have become a singer, but..." 02br
02br
00do these sentences seem acceptable? 02br
02br
00My big question is whether the grammar rules for "wish" discussed recently also apply for the use of "thought" here as a wish/hope/expectation for something in the past. 02br
02br
00Thank you all! 02br

00I think the problem with this one is "have". 02br

00I think that "I thought I would become a singer, but..." is a way of expressing 'future in the past'. You are talking about the past, but also about your future ideas at that
