"i have been married before."?

1/ i have been married before.

2/ i had been married before.

3/ i was married before.

which one is correct and why?

I had been married before is wrong because using past perfect tense alone doesn't make sense so much. If you add someting after before like " before he was killed " ,it will be okay.

There is no "i" in English. It should be "I".

Hi guys,

2/ i had been married before.

As already pointed out, this does not make sense if this is all you say. However, it's OK in a suitable context, eg

I married Mary in 1995. I had been married before.
