"failing"

Supposing I want to mean that my health becomes worse than before, can I use "fail" in my following sentence :

"Over the past 2 months,My health kept failing me."

Does that sound odd?(if so, what's the native expression?)

Some other options are:

...my health has gradually deterioted.
...my health has deterioted to a point where I can no longer walk by myself.
...my health has gradually become worse.
...my health has gradually become worse and worse.
...my health has been getting worse.

Mister Danyoo,

I do not know the word "deterioted". Might it be a typo? (we are only human, after all!)
