Would you consider these correct per BrE punctuation? No rephrases, please. Sorry for the long list of examples.

‘He described the scheme as “totally unworkable”.’

Then she said, ‘I did it because Henry said, “I don't care what you do.”’

‘Very,’ said Mr Datchery without enthusiasm.

‘He's very clever, you know.’

‘I shall, thank you. Is there anything—’
‘Anything new? No, nothing.’

‘I,’ he said, ‘am the Leading Hand.’

‘That's what I want you to write,’ he said.

‘When we get back,’ I told him.
