"earn money" or "get money"?

Hello! It's my first topic here... I have a simple question... what of these are correct?

"If I work more, I will earn more money."
"If I work more, I will get more money."

Thank you! bye!

I'll earn more money is the correct one in this case. You get money because you worked for it, therefore you earn it.

Yes; though you could paraphrase it as:

"If I work more, I will be given more money [by my employer]."

So in that sense, 'get' would also be correct.

Hi guys,

If I may add a comment about usage, I'd say that 'earn' in everyday conversation is less common than other words like 'get' or 'make'. You'd be more likely to hear things like

....I will get more money. ....I make more money....

.... I make / get $15 an hour
