Hi, Let us say these are instructions to an instructional game. Please tell me if you would put no. 1 in quotation marks and italicize no. 2, 3, and 4. Why? I understand the reason for no. 1, I think, but what is the reason for italicizing the rest? To emphasize the words? Are they being emphasized? I would have little trouble if it had been "Put you marker here" with the word "Put" for emphasis. I think I have seen these kinds of things in bold as in "Press the Begin Here button to start it".
1.Let's play the "What" game. 2. Put your marker on Begin Here. 3. When you land on a Pick up a card square, read it aloud. 4. When you land on a Name two ... square, name two of what is asked.
Top answer
You can either italicize or place in quotation marks both the game name and the square names.

[still off topic] I have had lots of error pages returned after a post today. I cleared all my cookies as the error page suggested, closed the browser, and restarted. Maybe that will help. (didn't help, so I will restart Windows....]
