"drastically and "dramatically"

Dear Teachers,

How to use "drastically" or "dramatically"? I always saw these two words in the newspaper when describing something is increasing or changing. Please give some examples in order for me to distinguish them clearly. many thanks!

Top answer

Use them when it is an extreme or significant change or increase. Drastically normally applies to bad changes only, while dramatically can apply to both good and bad.
