Top answer

'Comme ça' is French; it just means 'like this'. 'Comme Ca' is, I believe, a well-known ladies' fashion brand name/shop in London, which is very popular in Japan. Evidently, a Japanese company is plagiarizing the name: 'Japanese people are making "family" the key component to what they buy, the same way as they are looking for easing prices.

  • Five Foxes, one of the fastest-growing apparel companies, has introduced a new clothing store called Comme Ca Ism , where all family members can buy their own clothes.
  • ' As with much advertising English in Japan, it has no clear meaning.

The French pronounce 'comme ça' something like /*** 'sa:/, but how the Japanese have decided to pronounce 'comme ca ism' I do not know.

I am an American living in Japan. This store is HUGE here! It is like a Japanese Gap. I buy my kids clothes there often. It is great - I would not be suprised if they start poping up all over the world.
