Essay & Composition Writing

Quotation for a long sentence.

If you do not want to write everything you quote, what mark do you place within quatations?

For example, there is a sentence:

1. You describe something as outdated, you mean that you think it is old-fashioned and no longer useful.

If you want to quote the whole #1 but do not want to write all in your essay, how do you do?

Is it somethine like this? "You describe......no longer useful."

or "You describe ~~~~ no longer useful."

or "You describe ------ no longer useful."
