"as to whether do it or not"- correct usage?

I have no idea as to whether do it or not.
I heard somewhere this sentence but I'm not sure whether it's correct or not.

I'd say: I have no idea whether I should do it or not.
Am I wrong? Which of them is correct or sounds more naturally?

Thanks.

You are challenging style, not correctness, Anon. The sentences remain 'correct'—and in use—however much they may offend your sensibilities.
