"another" and "other"

we use "another" for one thing , and "other" for two things or more. Is it correct or not?

That's a very broad rule that I cannot confirm without context.

Hmmm, no. You can say "another three apples", or "three other apples". Notice the word order. Also, "another" can mean "one + other": I need one other egg ---> I need another egg.

another few is the "plural" of another

example

I want another paper

I want another few papers

but with numbers it's only another

I want another three papers

Anon, I don't really think that "another" has a unique plural. You could just as easily say "I want some more cookies" as "I want another few cookies."

(Paper is generally used in the singular unless you mean newspapers. I think you want to say "sheets of paper.")
