Grammar

"already have" or "have already had" sth

Theres this sentence I've come across which I'm very confused about.Gotta fill in with proper tenses
It goes like this:
Some department stores (have) a big sale from now till New year. I am going to buy a new coat though I ( already have) two old ones.

The first answer is "are having" if I'm not wrong..but the second answer confuses me...why is it "have already had" and not "already have" itself ?...or is it that both answers are acceptable grammatically...
Can anybody please explain this to me?Thanks

Well at the same time let me ask another one which I'm not sure about the answer:
Now I (understand) why Henry (not tell) me yet the time when the wedding ceremony (take) place..

Hoping for a reply.

I Got Doubts Some department stores have a big sale on from now until New year. I am going to buy a new coat although I already have two old ones. I don't see anything wrong with that sentence.

  • I Got Doubts Some department stores have a big sale on from now until New year.
  • I am going to buy a new coat although I already have two old ones.
  • I don't see anything wrong with that sentence.
  • I Got Doubts Now I (understand) why Henry (not tell) me yet the time when the wedding ceremony (take) place.
  • Now I understand why Henry hasn't yet told me when the wedding ceremony will take place.

... stores are having a sale ... Yes.
... though I already have two ...
Yes.
... though I have already had two ...
No.

You have the coats now. Use present tense. There is no reason to use have had.
