Grammar

Quite

Hello,

1. The work you did today is quite a contrast to what you did last week.

Here 'quite' modifies the work that has been mentioned in the sentence or modifies ' a contrast'.

Could someone suggest a choice?

Thanks.

Sir!

There are some adverbs of concession just some for manner, reason, purpose e.t.c.

I am not able to understand the meaning of 'concession', though I searched a lot on internet.

Thanks.

An adverb of concession weakens or limits the power or completeness of an action.
