If I am talking about a restaurant that serves food within one minute of ordering, would I call it:

1. quick-serving restaurant

2. quick-serve restaurant

A fast-food restaurant. (like McDonalds) A quick service restaurant. (like a taco truck) I have also seen "quick serve" but it was many years ago and mostly at soft-serve ice-cream stores in the USA.

I have also seen "quick serve" but it was many years ago and mostly at soft-serve ice-cream stores in the USA. I have not seen it in 25 years.

I have never seen such a place. If I can get my Augus Burger at McDonalds in 5 minutes, it is a good day.[Y]

If I had to pick, #2 is more logical.
