Quick sentence question

Not sure if this is a double post. If so, sorry.

Is this sentence grammatically correct?

Approximately 40% of infected horses results in death.

The preceding sentences are talking about a horse disease/infection. The sentence is trying to say that 40% of the infected horses die.
